I'm a huge fan of this brand. Fly London shoes are comfortable with an urban aesthetic. And, the local Nordstrom's don't carry them- only online. That means that in order to get a pair, people are either traveling or hitting a boutique. You are sure to get lots of compliments on them. I love this particular shoe for you because the color, the weight and the ankle strap draw attention to your lower half. They can be dressed up or down- feminine but not girly, for sure. Concerned that you won't know how to pair them? Don't be. They are perfect with your red and white striped skirt, your green dress, your black and white print skirt and so much more. Try them with jeans and a colored top- how about your red or deep purple tops? And, coordinating with a navy and white striped t-shirt is the perfect match. No need for any other yellow in your outfit. Just think about the intensity of the colors. The pale salmon doesn't work very well, but all your saturated colors do. It's an investment, but you'll have them for years to come.
These have great reviews on Nordstrom.com. Per your request, black flats. I've selected these for you because they have visual interest instead of just disappearing. The sole and the mesh fabric make them attention getting while also making them a very relaxed shoe. Try them with your lilac skirt to dress it down, your colored pants, jeans and so much more. I'm hoping the toe is wide enough. Easy, affordable, practical and current.
I can imagine that you might think I'm crazy here. But, the more I think about it, the more I LOVE these for you. Animal prints are always neutral and that means these can coordinate with virtually anything. They draw the eye down and are crazy comfortable- after all, they are sneakers. I know they are a little pricey, but the quality is there. You'll really need to "own" these- but I am confident that you can. They are totally feminine but not girly and few things are as polished as animal prints. Try them with skirts, pants, jeans and shorts. Dress down the green dress with these and your denim jacket. Or, try your colored pants and a basic tee. The white sweater, black top with a zipper and cowl neck tops will get lots of action with these.
Per your request, a sandal or wedge. This accomplishes both. Again the print adds visual interest. They are comfortable but don't look like comfort shoes. Plus, you strike me as a TOMS type of girl. It will be fun to be the only one with this pair. Again, don't be afraid of the print. We mostly purchased solids for you, which means that pulling a print into the equation will be easy. Try these with any solid piece- I love them with the chambray shirt, green dress, colored pants, especially. Or, go for jeans and the violet top. A woman of confidence!
Just in case the black and white option seem to crazy for you, this denim pair is a nice alternative. Easy to match with well- everything. You can also rock these with the salmon dress or top. No need to have other blue in the mix. Think of these like you do a pair of jeans or the chambray shirt. They are a neutral that has the benefit of adding visual interest to your feet balancing out your frame. Love them with red!
I know. TOMS again. But, I don't expect you to get every pair. In fact, I'd rather you not:) These are the ideal flat for you. They draw attention to your feet but still coordinate with everything. The coordinate well with all your new items- from the lilac skirt to the green dress and everything in between. I even love them with the red and white striped skirt. Just add a simple black or white top and you can even bring your denim jacket into the mix. Another trick for integrating print shoes into your collection? Look at the photos that include your print scarf. Replace the print scarf with print shoes.
As I said, Fly London makes me happy. I adore the yellow pair, but I can appreciate that you might want another pair of closed toe shoes since we live in a wet climate. Again, no need to have red anywhere else in your outfit to wear these. Simply use them as the pop of color. I am confident the toe will be comfortable and they are a more sophisticated and a bit edgy alternative to traditional ballet flats. Plus, to be honest, I think it's time we tried other flat options:) Pair with your black and white skirt, your denim trousers and more. They'd be an incredible compliment to your olive jacket. Just keep everything else simple.
Bags complete every look so we want to round out this transformation with the right accessories. Based n your new wardrobe, I think a green bag and a navy or dark purple bag is all you need. As an alternative, a camel or brown bag would be great. It's your call. Because we are investing in other areas of your wardrobe and you aren't restricted by a love of designers, I'm going for a couple of fun options from Forever 21. Both are cross body which I think is essential for your current lifestyle. Also, if your bag hits at your hips, that adds visual interest to your lower half, which is great. You could opt for larger bags that hit at your hips, as well. However, based on your current lifestyle, I'm thinking cross body is really a better options. After all, hands free is always a plus. The green is fun and practical. Remember, the stem never clashes with the flower. Green goes with everything. Just keep a similar intensity/ saturation in the color and you are good to go. I also like it with your salmon options:)
Suggestion #2 for bags. This one is described as navy, but it certainly has a purple leaning. I love this with your lilac skirt. Because it is the same color but a different shade, it is not too matchy matchy. If you put it with your red and white striped skirt, it will feel more blue and again be an interesting pairing. This also simplifies everything when paired with your denim jacket.
These are a bonus. Usually the list is 5-8 items, but I love these for you. I have a feeling you either tried them on at Nordstrom and they didn't work or they didn't have your size. So, I didn't want them to decrease the number of recommendations. Like animal prints, metallics are a neutral that keeps things interesting and gives you more freedom when putting together your outfits. These would be great with your salmon options or jeans. Try them with colored pants, too. The design also offers additional visual interest. I like the idea of a bolder shoe on you, but if you are looking for an easy pairing option that is flattering and interesting, this is it.
Finally, there's more here than you may need/want. The goal is to offer you options that don't feel overwhelming and are all specifically curated for you. I focused this list on shoes, per your request. I also added a few handbags to complete your revamped wardrobe. Because you've subscribed to quarterly wish lists (thank you!), you'll receive additional wish lists by July 31, 2014, October 31st, 2013 and January 31st, 2014. I'll reach out right before for requests. Have fun!
