Vibrant, sophisticated, current and inspires confidence
How exciting to create a new wishlist for you! Per your request: Tops to wear with jeans and black ankle pants.
As I owe you one for missing the party, I added on a few extras:) Plus, it's been a while since we've been building your wardrobe together, so I thought you might appreciate some fresh suggestions. Let's get to it!
Channeling the top we found when shopping together, I can see you rocking this one effortlessly. It would be great with a bold pencil skirt or your black cigarette pants. Sophisticated, flowy and effortless. I also appreciate that it offers room for weight fluctuation without being baggy and shapeless.
I couldn't help but add in some new dresses. You'll notice a whole lot of Nordstrom going on this time. I did investigate Macy's and other options, but Nordstrom offered up lots of lovely options for your current lifestyle and your level of sophistication. Obsessed with this one because it shows off your curves and has a belted effect without needing to wear a belt. Plus, the colors are super flattering on you and appropriate for the warmer season. The asymmetrical skirt shows off your legs. Feel free to rock it with red or nude shoes.
Who are we kidding? Your life is filled with events, weddings, and so on. It's always nice to have a seasonally appropriate and totally smashing dress to pull out when those last minute occasions appear. I adore you in wine and this Tadashi Shoji is so flattering for your figure. It's a great opportunity to rock metallic heels and feel free to throw a tailored jacket over the top, if you'd like to make it a bit more conservative. Or, use it as a canvass for your bold jewelry.
Wear it with jeans, your black pants and anything in between. No one loves red like you do, and this easy top shows off your curves, which is especially fun when hanging out with the husband. Add a cardigan or scarf to tone it down for work, if you'd like. It's also great for the walk to and from work. Just throw a blazer on when you arrive.
I can see you wearing this every day. The cowl neck is flattering and I thought you might appreciate the high low style. It's short enough in the front to show your waistline and would be lovely paired with your cigarette pants. Add a fun heel to keep things vibrant. Totally work appropriate or off to drinks, depending on your accessories.
Seriously, it's practically free. The style is sophisticated and tailored, but still fun and urban. It's not leather or attempting to be (score!) and the color feels very expensive and complements your skin tone. Plus, it pairs easily with all your favs- red, burgundy, black, grey and the list goes on. The cut shows off your waistline more than a cardigan would and allows you to stay warm. Plus, it's glorious with jeans and boots. Go team.
Yes! And under a hundred bucks, oh my. No need to add a belt, just throw this on and head out the door. Highlighting your curves without trying too hard, this can be dressed up or down. Certainly sophisticated. Choose the brighter blue to keep things fun and vibrant or rely on your accessories to do the job.
With jeans! With the pants! With a skirt. So chic and no need for a cardigan to keep you warm. Plus, slate is all you all the time.
This is most casual of the bunch, but I can see it being very useful on the weekends. Sometimes, you just want something a little more oversized. Yes, I know we want to show off your waist. So make sure you add a heel to elongate you. If you throw a jacket or the draped vest below, you can create a waist. I know you heart Vince and this is why. Somehow the label makes a simple tee so much more.
So useful and practically free. Vests are in full force and that will continue into the cooler seasons. This one can be paired with a tank or over a sleeveless dress in the warmer months. As things cool off, try it over a long sleeved tee or a sweater. The grey is great with brown boots and jeans or go the more urban route and try it with the black pants and a patterned top.
I can see how this seems to defy everything we discussed. Where's the waist? But, I must say, I recommended it to another client and it is a home run. Absolutely sophisticated and luxurious, this navy dress feels like you are wearing pajamas but looks like a million bucks. It's crazy comfortable for weight fluctuation and you can easily create a waist by adding the grey jacket above or try adding a belt. I like it hanging loose, but it can't hurt to try. The top is a perfect canvass for your bold jewelry and the navy goes with any bold color combination that appeals to you. Take it into winter with boots.
An old standby. Try this with the wine skirt from J Crew in the warmer months. Of course, it can also pair easily with jeans or your black pants. Comfortable, sophisticated and exciting color choices. Banana Republic has a sale that ends tomorrow, so jump on it if you like this piece.
Huge fan of this dress. A great print that is not overbearing and Tahari designs lovely clothes for your body. This one is sophisticated, interesting and unexpected. Plus, the color palette is perfect for a vibrant blazer or unique jewelry. No need to add a belt, the work of highlighting your waistline is done for you. Go!
I couldn't help myself:) Hope you discover some exciting new finds for the season. Let me know how it goes!
