As you purchased some great statement pieces on our trip and have several memorable items at home, the majority of these are intended to complete outfits by pairing the items below with existing items. Sure, it seems crazy. But, these are Tsubos. That means they are fashion forward design with great attention to craftsmanship and comfort. They'd be great paired with boyfriend jeans or for a night out of the town.
Yes! We found an incredibly affordable version of the peplum striped combo we discussed. This one is more flattering as the skirt has vertical stripes and the peplum adds volume at the hips. There's one at the Northgate Target. Try it out.
Pair this with colored shoes, booties or knee high boots. Another eye-catching option is to pair this with your colored tights and your Hunter boots or booties. Just add a black cardigan to tone it down a bit.
Love this t-shirt for you. Finally, a neckline that is deep, and an unusual combination of round and V neck. This will be a key layering piece for you and would be great with your new plaid pants. Add one of the hip length cardigans for a put together look.
We discussed this, but I wanted to make sure you had one in your sights. The dark wash flatters your figure. This can be paired with nearly everything you have and will be a nice way to add dimension to an outfit while still keeping your signature pieces as focal points. It's also an essential neutral with your colored tights. Gap has a 30% off sale today, so take advantage.
This would be PERFECT with your new plaid ankle length pants from Anthropologie. Because this color is also dominant in the pants, pairing them together will elongate you. Add to that the deep V neck, dark color and buttons on top- the eye is naturally drawn to the pants, balancing out your frame. Add a demin jacket and loafers/ flats or an ankle bootie. Or, wear your hunter boots for a totally different look. Another option- pair with fuscia or blue colored tights, a short black skirt and your motorcycle or hunter boots.
This cut is incredible on you and shows off your shoulder. Plus, it is a sweatshirt, so it's casual, comfortable and sporty. It comes in several colors and can be paired with skirts, jeans, your plaid pants and so much more. It would be especially cool with your motorcycle boots or your Hunters.
As an alternative to a colored skinny pant, might we suggest a colored legging? These come in several colors (including yellow!) and are much more affordable than investing in a pant that isn't the ideal cut for your shape. They'd be hip, comfortable and eye catching paired with your Hunter or motorcycle boots & a long cardigan and tank. I'm a big fan of the electric blue.
These are definitely an investment piece, but they have YOU written all over them. The boyfriend cut is flattering on you and the distressed look draws attention to your legs and shows that you don't take things too seriously. This is the same brand (AG!) as the yellow pants you loved at Anthro and you'd get more wear out of these for years to come.
And finally, the army jacket for you. Between the denim jacket and this utility jacket, you have the final component of every outfit handled. Pair with your motorcycle boots, flats or your Hunters and the rest of the outfit is a breeze. Maxi skirts, jeans, leggings or colored pants (depending on the color) can pair nicely and be multifunctional.
