Lady Plaid Midi Sleeve Jumpsuit. JIBRI.$250.

Hello Dear Reader,

While looking back at some of my older posts and chatting with Mellicia, she and I realized that there has been a lot going on in the plus size design world in the past six months. While discussing some of the new plus size lines launching, I realized that the former list of plus size retailers I had pulled together for my first post with Poplin could use a bit of updating!

So I bring to you a selection of some of my ideal reiterations, as well as new openings and some of my favorite up and comers!

Rum+Coke

 Maya Skirt. Rum+Coke. $108-118.

This is one of my guilty pleasures. The Christmas collection from Rum+Coke was amazing and I cannot wait to see what comes next for this designer. The style here is party-ready, lavish, and tactile. This brand is especially great for a woman with an inverted triangle body.

Boohoo

Claire Tie Waist 3/4 Sleeve Dress. Boohoo plus. Also in Blue, Black and Grey.$30.

Deeply trend-led and at Forever 21 prices, this brand recently launched its plus size section. It offers simple weekend pieces as well as some more youthful pieces like logo tees and play suits. I would call this trendy, youthful and affordable.

 Deep V Contrast Jumpsuit. Eloquii.com. $139.90.

Eloquii

This brand is without a doubt a new favorite in the plus size realm. It is directional, trendy and diverse. It offers up a good variety of wares and is especially brilliant for the classy yet confidently funky woman. With geometric shift dresses and neoprene suits (I own one in tangerine) they are shaking up work wear. Select items from Eloquii are also available at Nordstrom! I love being able to try things on in person, so this was great news!

Monif C

Dahlia Ruched Dress. Monif C. Available in other colors. $188

Monif C is constantly pushing the edges. The swimwear collection is one of the hottest around and the designs are uncompromising. These are clothes made to grab your attention and hold onto it.

 High Waist Pant. jibrionline.com.$130

JIBRI

I could gush for days about this tiny Atlanta based brand. JIBRI has some serious design chops behind it, along with my favorite product and editorial photography. It is so on point. This brand riffs on similar silhouettes that are super wearable, especially for the hourglass and inverted triangle ladies. But trust me there is something for everyone. Their wide leg pants are a favorite of mine for creating great shape for women with rectangle shaped figures. Clean, edgy, and fabulous.

Marina Rinaldi

Duchesse Coat. Marina Rinaldi. Price on Request.

The high end couture of the plus size world, Marina Rinaldi has been around for just a handful of years. Unfortunately, you need to find yourself in LA or New York to snag some duds from the brick and mortar store, it would be a lovely reason for a trip. The collections are ecstasy and class wrapped in amazing fabrics and awe inspiring textures. Think old time classiness with unctuous fabrics and fun and funky prints. This is more for the fashionable working woman of any age.

These are just a few brands. There are more coming soon (Gabi and Nicolette collab?), those still making their mark (Modcloth) and a few that have been around and are in the process of reinventing themselves (Lane Bryant, for example). So keep and eye out. Need help finding the perfect blend of brands to make you feel confident and unequivocally yourself? That's what Poplin is here for.
