Must Know Now: Zara, Uniqlo and Nordstrom.

 Zara Spring look. Zara. $49+$79.

One of my favorite parts of living in the Northwest is the ramp up in spring and summer. Let's face it, we all have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Need proof? Check out your social calendar. I expect it is jam packed. The challenge during this time of year is choosing what to share with you, Dear Reader.

As your very own personal stylist for women and kids, I'm so overcome with joy about a long list of developments. Therefore, I'm opting to focus on big news with three large retailers that I love: Zara, Uniqlo and Nordstrom.

The Biggest News (for us, anyway) from Zara, Uniqlo and Nordstrom.

Yes! Zara mini and Zara kids offer some of my favorite looks for kids right now.

1. Zara is opening in Bellevue.

If you haven't already heard, we will soon be experiencing the selection and value at yet another Northwest Zara location: Bellevue Square. Believe it. If you are unfamiliar with the awesomeness of Zara (think H&M only better), check out this blog post from the opening of the Flagship store in Westlake Center.

Print Cropped Leggings Pants. Available in multiple colors and prints. Uniqlo. $29.90.

2. Uniqlo is coming, too!

You may soon find that you can do your one stop shopping at Bellevue Square. This fall Uniqlo will be opening up right next Zara. The Japanese retailer is all about function at very affordable prices. Personally, I'm obsessed with the leggings/jeggings which are surprisingly high quality as well as the cardigans. Uniqlo is, in fact, my favorite store for cardigans. From UV protection to cashmere, you'll find they are the place to go.

Herve Leger Mesh & Bandage Caftan. Nordstrom. Was: $840 Now: $503.

3. Nordstrom offers another way to give back.

As Seattleites, we tend to have a soft spot for Nordstrom. And for good reason. Good service, unbeatable return policy, large selection, the list goes on. One of my favorite aspects of the company is the unwavering commitment to the community. The latest example of that philanthropic spirit is Nordstrom's policy to give 1% of all gift card purchases to nonprofits. So if you are on the fence about purchasing a gift card from Nordstrom, this might help push you over.

As if we need more, I continue to hope for a local Topshop store, in addition to the options at Nordstrom. Upon my recent visit to the Topshop Las Vegas, an employee informed me that there is a plan in the works to have a Topshop here in the coming year. But, I have yet to see any confirmation of that. Let's keep our collective fingers crossed. Shall we?
