We wait all year for it, and now it's finally here. In a word, Anniversary. If you have a Nordstrom card, you can pre-shop the sale until July 21st. Why would you do this? Because you can shop fall pieces now. And, I know from experience that sizes go fast. On July 21st, sale prices are available to the masses. When Anniversary ends, pieces go from their sale prices up to full price. It's wacky. It's fun. It's Anniversary. 

The benefit of having your very own personal stylist, Dear Reader, is that I've gone through every piece on sale to call out my very favorites.

One more thing. If you don't have a Nordstrom card (credit or debit), you might think about signing up for one. There's a wide range of benefits that include $20 Nordstrom notes (same as cash at Nordstrom or the Rack) showing up in the mail. If you are a serious Nordstrom shopper, you might also consider a credit card that earns you more Nordstrom notes anytime you use it (not just at Nordstrom).

No, the company didn't pay me to say this. But, it's my job as a personal stylist to make my clients aware of ways to maximize every dollar.

Round ONE: Edgy, Urban, Sexy

It's time for an over the knee boot. Aim for them to hit at the smallest part of your leg. Pairing is all about occasion and confidence. For regular wear, rock these with a flowy skirt over top for the sexy reveal or try them over leggings with an oversized sweater or tee. (Yes, they come in black.)

Nothing is cooler. Try it over a long sleeved sweater or turtleneck, with a tank or a basic white tee. It's also stellar over a sheath dress.

You can never go wrong with Vince. Here's a play on the basic white tee. Or, go with black for an edgier vibe. 

All Saints at Nordstrom?! Yes, please. The color selection and quality are too good.

Is it a t-strap? Is it a bootie? Whatever it is, it's super sexy.

A bathing suit that has a sensual vibe but is still appropriate for a family pool. Plus, the support is there, which is key.

I keep writing about tie neck blouses. Why buy one when you can make your own with a silk scarf. The color selection is lovely, too. This can also be used as a belt or a head scarf. Options!

If you aren't wearing jackets on the regular, you are behind the times. Try swapping out your cardigans for a more structured option. And, leather? Well, at this point, leather or vegan leather is for everyone. It's just finding the right style for you and your figure. Colored leather is a dream and this green option is a neutral. Believe it. It works with nearly everything.

If you are tempted to go full designer, Anniversary is the time to do it. Otherwise, it's all about a lucky day online at the Rack. A bold piece that is still timeless, flattering and works for a wide array of occasions. 

Love! Women with curves are sexy and this is the way to flaunt it. 

For the woman who can rock a skinny heel, this shoe is everything. You won't believe the color choices. Dark purple? Indeed. 

Sadly, there are very few (let's say 2) jumpsuits on sale. Lucky for us, this sophisticated and sexy romper is on the list! It's still warm outside. Why not try this affordable option for your date look?

Rag & bone. Need I say more?

High waisted faux leather leggings are a dream. After all, you shouldn't be showing the top of these, anyway. A high waisted option acts as a shaper. If you are short waisted, this style will accentuate that issue. But, if you are looking to minimize your stomach and plan to wear a longer top, you may consider if this works for you. 

As for pairing, please stick with natural fabrics: cotton, silk, cashmere to keep things balanced. In the summer, wear with patent leather Birkenstocks or open toed booties.
