Eclectic Chic: Made, Found, Purchased, Loved. The Story of Aga.
Thursday's client photo shoot was another showstopper. In this case, my client, Aga, was the star. As we navigated our way from spot to spot through Volunteer Park, Aga was on the lookout for her young daughter who coincidentally was on a field trip nearby. What a moment- to have your daughter see you modeling in a photo shoot. #mindblowing.
Aga has lived in several countries and has pieces from all over the world. Her style is eclectic chic and everything must be practical for travel or time with her husband and two young girls. In this shot, she's rocking a jumpsuit with spaghetti straps from Anthropologie that was a go-to over the summer and can now be layered under a form fitting crop sweater that she picked up a Goodwill. Pairing affordable items with investment pieces is a great way to stay inside your clothing budget.
These boots were ideal for the icy cement (my shoes were not, so watching her walk with ease in all terrain was a major win for us both). She's wearing earrings she picked up on her travels and, of course, we finished things off with a super functional and hip mini backpack.
Remember- items can transition from season to season (like the jumpsuit) and from year to year (like the boots). We chose to invest in the one of a kind pieces and cut costs on more practical items. Keep your eyes peeled for Aga's photos on the site in the coming weeks to see more of her looks. One of our favorite ways to collaborate is to dream up pieces and Aga either sews them or picks them up from thrift shops. We then complete the looks with investment pieces. I can't wait to share.
Here's to another dreamy Friday. Thanks, as always, for being here.
Psst- I took this snapshot. The actual photos are taken by Amy Paine with hair and makeup by Kat St. John.
