Featured Client: Caitlyn
What can I say? I’m pretty much losing my mind over here. As a personal stylist for women, I’m always absolutely delighted to share a client transformation with the Poplin community. It’s taken ages to make this photo shoot happen and it was well worth the wait. Not only is Caitlyn a powerhouse at her job as a leader in tech, she’s also crazy photogenic, up for anything and ready to show the world what style looks like. Caitlyn: Intentional, Hip, Polished
As a leader in tech, Caitlyn was struggling with her desire to look polished, but not be overdressed in a very casual work environment. When we met, it was clear that she was frustrated with the lack of options that fit her body and communicated anything close to the style she desired.
Approach:
We started with defining her style and introducing her to brands and retailers that would inspire her. Then, we embraced luxurious quality pieces (often on sale!) that could be tailored so she could look and feel her best. And, of course, it was all about illustrating how she can make something feel more casual for work, then dress it up to go out.

Just go for it. Mellicia is the best. I went to her as I was sick of trying to find clothing as a plus-size short gal who didn't want to look like a secretary. I was in a rothys-skinnyjeans-top rut. I hated shopping and did it as a matter of necessity. She taught me SO MUCH.
First, she introduced me to hipper clothing that's also MORE COMFORTABLE. Seriously. I'm now working from home every day, but I'm no longer wearing the lounge leggings (never leggings) I used to. I'm wearing Mellicia-selected outfits and I feel wonderful.
She did exactly what I wanted, worked with where I'm comfortable, and pushed me into newer, hipper territory.
